On FirstNet Reauthorization Passing Out of Committee
Yesterday, the House Energy and Commerce Committee forwarded the First Responder Network Authority Reauthorization Act to the full House with 51 votes in support and zero opposed.
FirstNet is the best of government: a network created by Congress and supported by private industry which connects first responders around the country. Reauthorization is critical to ensure that this program does not disappear.
We commend the efforts of Chairman Brett Guthrie in shepherding this crucial legislation, and look forward to the day it arrives to President Trump’s desk for signature.
