BMP Endorses NO FAKES Act
WASHINGTON, D.C. – June 5, 2026 – The Bull Moose Project today announced its support for the NO FAKES Act of 2026, landmark bipartisan legislation that would establish the first-ever federal property right for every American in their own voice and likeness. The bill directly addresses the growing scourge of AI-generated deepfakes and voice clones by creating a clear national standard for takedowns, accountability, and damages.
“Deepfakes produced with AI can affect almost everyone. They harm famous artists and actors, of course – but they also harm average people. After the successful passage of last year’s TAKE IT DOWN Act, passing the NO FAKES Act is the next logical step. Because Americans deserve a say in how their likeness is used,” said Aiden Buzzetti, President of the Bull Moose Project. “More than twenty states have tried to fill this void on their own, creating a patchwork of conflicting rules that serves no one. Congress has an opportunity — and an obligation — to replace that chaos with a uniform national standard that protects every American, preserves free speech, and keeps America leading on AI.”
The Bull Moose Project urges the House and Senate to move swiftly and send this legislation to the President’s desk.
