Letter Requesting the Removal of Representative Salazar

Dear Chairman Mast,
The American people gave President Donald J. Trump a resounding mandate to secure our borders, prioritize U.S. citizens, and put America First.
Yet, some in our own party continue to undermine this mission – none more blatantly than Representative María E. Salazar (FL-27). Her latest attempt to shield illegal Venezuelan nationals from deportation – while violent criminals like the Tren de Aragua exploit our immigration system – is an outright betrayal of the growing conservative movement. For the good of our country, Salazar must no longer hold key leadership positions in the House.
Representative Salazar has a long history of opposing President Trump’s America First agenda and embracing a left-wing approach to immigration. She publicly called for protections for illegal immigrants from Venezuela, Haiti, and Cuba – directly contradicting President Trump’s promise to restore law and order at the border. Worse, she has actively supported legislation – most notably the Americas Act – that would funnel American taxpayer dollars to corrupt Latin American regimes while doing nothing to strengthen economic opportunity for U.S. citizens. Even her so-called “Dignity Act” is just another mass amnesty bill dressed up in empty rhetoric.
As President Trump pushes for the largest deportation effort in U.S. history, Salazar is working to impede progress and reward those who broke our laws. Her latest demand that the Trump administration protect Biden’s humanitarian parole program proves she would rather defend illegal immigrants than fight for American citizens. This refusal to stand with President Trump in favor of Biden’s open-border policies must no longer be tolerated.
To no surprise, Salazar’s betrayal of the conservative movement goes beyond immigration. In 2021, she broke ranks with the Florida Republican delegation and voted in favor of the January 6th Committee – a political witch hunt designed to smear President Trump and his supporters. And at a time when Cuban exiles in Miami were facing persecution for even appearing cordial toward Cuban dictator Fidel Castro, Representative Salazar gave the man a glowing interview with soft-handed praise, referring to him as “comandante.” Even after Castro’s death, she praised Barack Obama’s weak policies on Cuba as “noble.”
This is beyond despicable.
In a recent opinion piece, Salazar wrote, “As Chairwoman of the Western Hemisphere Subcommittee, I am working alongside the president to strengthen relationships with our Latin American partners, establish common ground for mutual benefit with countries that may be skeptical of the U.S., and dismantle the destructive influence of our enemies in the region.”
Clearly, this is only true on paper. Instead, she has proven time and time again where her true loyalties lie. Representative Salazar is using her gavel as head of the Western Hemisphere Subcommittee to actively subvert President Trump’s agenda, promote policies that reward her Latin American despotic buddies, and put Americans last. We cannot afford to have “Republicans” like Maria Salazar in positions of power who refuse to stand with President Trump.
The American people demand action.
Representative Salazar must be removed as Chair of the Western Hemisphere Subcommittee. We need real leaders who will fight for conservative principles, not RINOs who cave to the left and the globalist agenda.
The MAGA movement is watching closely, Chairman Mast.
